LG sells 10 million L-series smartphones

LG electronics has sold 10 million units of its L-series smartphones. LG’s L series consists of the budget L3, L5, L7 and the later added L9.

Lucky Goldstar claims that the L-series is a perfect marriage between design and price and therefore can be seen as a remote success for the struggling tech company. The company wouldn’t reveal specific unit sales but it makes sense to believe the budget L3 led the way this fiscal year.

LG L3, 5,7,9 all share a squared-off design with a central home button. They share textured backs and are priced between $100 and $350 for the L9. While it’s great to see 10+ million in sales, Samsung and especially Apple are miles ahead still with projected 30 million and 50 million in sales for the Galaxy SIII and iPhone respectively.
